Welcome to the Leadership Development Initiative Africa website!!

Leadia is a grassroots Christian initiative that seeks to restore true human identity and dignity and establish just relationships by developing leaders, communities and children in order to transform Africa from the malaise of poverty and despondence to harbingers of hope and vitality.

The top most challenge in Africa and Uganda in particular is to restore the communal character of society and societal responsibility under competent leadership  to build the native resource capacities for local solutions to lead the efforts to transform Africa. The root of Africa ’s Real Problem is the challenge of lack of the knowledge of true self-identity and dignity due to biblical, spiritual, theological, ideological, sociological, economic, educational, technological,leadership and civic gaps. The absence of the knowledge of true self-identity and dignity ferments and nurtures ungodliness and wickedness such as selfishness, greed, pride and envy..., which have created internal and external debilitating and corroding habits, systems and structures that have plagued the continent of Africa.

Now, Africa and Uganda are in need of empowering leadership models and institutional framework; a holistic biblical spirituality and worldview; meaningful and engaging relationships; human and material resource development; appropriate acquisition and appropriation of resources; information and technological accessibility; communal and individual involvement in the production and decision- making process; compassion and environmental conservation just to mention a few. At the pinnacle of all these are the quality of leadership, the communal character of society and the societal responsibility and, the communal foundation and vision for the young generation.

The question here is not how to change individuals or communities but rather a generation to bring people back to God’s forward moving arena of human transformation. Therefore, the foundation of the transformation of Africa dedpends upon the quality of its leaders, community and children. The task here is how to make and put "new wine in a new wine skin" as the antidote to the challenges of Africa.

A project of this magnitude demands a proactive and holistic approach, and commitment of enormous resources to succeed. Therefore, we appeal for your support and feedback to transform Africa.
